這是關於一隻唐狗和一隻純種狗的真實故事。而他們慘痛的經歷，也是
城市中無數小貓小狗的故事。以動物牟利的繁殖場，以及每年以千萬計
被人道毀滅的小生命，都一再提醒我們，以領養代替買賣的迫切性。
小泰迪犬Rosie，一直被關在繁殖場狹小的籠子裡，作為生育機器。她
被迫生下的孩子，都成了我們在寵物店看到的小狗寶寶。這位可憐的媽
媽被救出來的時候，前肢變形，骨瘦如柴，所有的牙齒都掉光了。令人
傷心的是，這樣的故事從來不罕見。
The stars of this true story are a Hong Kong mongrel and a purebred poodle.
Theirs represent the stories of millions of Hong Kong's cats and dogs - some
discarded from cruel puppy mills, the thousands put down each year just
for being strays and the ones who remind us every day why adoption is so
important.
Rosie came from a breeding farm. She lived in a tiny cage her whole life,
used in effect as production machinery. The "products" she produced were
adorable puppies like the ones we see being sold in pet shops. When Rosie
was first rescued, she was rail thin, toothless and had a deformed front leg.
The sad thing is that her story is not uncommon.

手繪地圖和兒童綸本的作者、插畫師。英國劍橋大學兒童文學碩士畢業，現居香港，不時出沒於沿岸的海浪間 ，或書店外的大樹下，暢泳，繪畫。

於2003年成立的獨立慈善團體，兩個動物領養中心均為100%全義工運作，龐大的醫療支出則來自善心人的捐款。協會平均每年拯救近一千隻貓狗，透過暫託家庭、義工等協力合作，為動物尋找新家庭。
近年積極開展教育行動，不時到校或與團體合作，推行與動物相關的教育講座。
